Springtime for us at Orsi PR means a rebirth of some of our favorite things from one of our marquee clients, Tommy Bahama… the Spring collection of swimwear, new refreshing cocktails at the restaurants and one of their most popular collections – the MLB spring training shirts. March brings the big leaguers to Florida and Arizona and to commemorate America’s favorite pastime, Tommy Bahama has once again teamed up with Major League Baseball for the release of all new Spring Training apparel for both the Cactus & Grapefruit Leagues. These new releases continue the successful relationship with Major League Baseball Properties, to establish a co-branded collection of premium, collectible apparel that commemorates the love of the game.

The Riviera Country Club here in Southern California is in the spotlight of the golf world this week as the Northern Trust Open teed off. The biggest names in golf as well as celebrities who love the sport are on hand. Which means Tommy Bahama was there as well. The much-loved lifestyle brand is known for its relaxed and comfortable golf wear which is a favorite among pros and weekend golfers alike. Some of our favorite Tommy Bahama pro golfers stopped by the hospitality tent to mingle with execs, guests and even the celebrity fans who came by to say hello. Actor Kunal Nayyar who plays Rajesh Koothrappali on Big Bang Theory and the show’s director, Mark Cendrowski spent time chatting with Don Kerkes, President of the Tommy Bahama Men’s group.

Famed Illustrator Showcases Drawings of Academy Award Nominees

Hollywood … get ready to see some of the biggest stars of the silver screen like never before in stunning black and white. Ken Fallin is bringing his showing of the Academy Award Nominees caricatures to Hamilton-Selway Fine Art in West Hollywood opening this Thursday, February 16th and running through Feb. 25th, 2012.

This landmark event will be Fallin’s first West Coast Show titled, “Ken Fallin Draws Hollywood”, and will feature portraits of past and current Hollywood Oscar nominees and winners as well as some other popular portraits. Best Actor and Best Actress nominees for 2012 will be the focal point of this exhibition.

Fallin’s caricatures have been regularly featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The Washington Post, the New Yorker, Hollywood Reporter as well as many other publications.

Santa may be making his list and checking it twice, but here at Orsi Public Relations we have some holiday feasting ideas that are very, very nice. One of our marquee clients, Tommy Bahama, has some merry recipes that you will want to serve up for your holiday gatherings.

Let’s jump right to the good stuff, the Tommy Bahama Malted Chocolate Pie. This tasty treat begins with a chocolate cookie crust filled with a mocha mousse and topped with an English Toffee Crumble. Orsi Public Relations Congratulates Tommy Bahama Golfer Tom Lehman for Player of the Year Honors

He always tees off in Tommy Bahama and now Tom Lehman is the only player to ever win the prestigious Player of the Year on all three tours – the Nationwide Tour (1991), the PGA TOUR (1996) and now Champions Tour (2011).  Since his debut as a professional golfer in 1983, Lehman has established himself as one of the premier players in golf, continuing this through his three seasons on the Champions Tour, with five wins and 25 top ten finishes in just 43 events, including two Champions Tour Majors titles.

Tommy Bahama, whose spirited mantra to make life one long weekend ,  has become a staple for the discerning golfer’s wardrobe and for Lehman, who has worn the brand since 2002.

“It’s been a terrific year and I’m honored to be named Player of the Year by the players,” says Tom Lehman.  “I also appreciate the support of my friends at Tommy Bahama and am proud to be associated with a company whose attitudes towards life and golf are similar to mine.”
