Get Fit! Tommy Bahama Kicks-off Spring with its Sip & Swim Event

Sip and Swim Calendar Listing Image FOR VOCUSThe Tommy Bahama New York flagship ushered in the first day of Spring on Thursday with its signature Sip & Swim event, where guests enjoy cocktails and get a personal fitting for a swimsuit. The day long affair was hosted by Tommy Bahama’s Lissette Marquez, a twenty year veteran of the swimwear industry and a pro at advising women of what suit works best for their body type. Lisette dispels myths and preconceived notions many women have about swimwear with solid information that makes everyone look great and feel comfortable in their selection.

Orsi Public Relations arranged for Lisette to work her magic on New York’s renowned stylist and NYCPretty blogger Christine Bibbo Herr, who did a blog post and shared on social media her experience. Thanks to Christine, whose blog was then picked up by Modellist-ID and, and the 20 calendar listings the event was well attended and a resounding consumer success.

Orsi Public Relations further leveraged this opportunity inviting key New York based editors to meet with Lisette and get a personal fitting for a swimsuit courtesy of Tommy Bahama. We are pleased to report that editors from WWD, InStyle, More, Oprah and others all left their appointment happy and a little better informed with a swimsuit that is the perfect style and fit. Up next, Lisette hits the road to impart her wisdom and vast swimwear knowledge as she and heads to Florida, Hawaii and California for more Sip & Swim events.
