“Meb Strong”

BLOG IMAGE 2He’s the 2014 winner of the Boston Marathon, the first American to win the race since 1983, and the oldest to win in more than 80 years. We’re talking of course about long-distance runner and brand ambassador for SKECHERS Performance Division, Meb Keflezighi.

On May 1st, Orsi Public Relations teamed up with D S Simon Productions for a satellite media tour on his victory and the GO Meb Speed 2 the SKECHERS Performance shoe named after him. Meb did more than 22 interviews including ESPN’s Sports Center, Fox News Edge, NBC Sports, and morning shows in many of the top markets including Chicago, Phoenix, DC, and of course his hometown of San Diego.

BLOG IMAGEWithout a doubt, Meb was well received by the TV audience and he offered a great story and inspiration. He did a great job at answering every question and maintained a high energy throughout each interview. When it was over, we asked him what was more difficult, running the Boston Marathon in 2:08:37 or 5 hours of media interviews. He admitted that both require a certain mental strategy to stay focused and “Meb Strong.”
