Flavors of Aloha: Cooking with Tommy Bahama

Tommy Bahama Restaurant and Bar in New York City recently hosted the launch party of their newly released cookbook Flavors of Aloha: Cooking with Tommy Bahama. In attendance was Famed American chef and cookbook author, Rick Rodgers, who partnered with Tommy Bahama to create the beautiful and diverse cookbook.

Rick Rodgers engaged with writers and editors as they enjoyed an evening of cocktails, appetizers and entrees all handpicked from the new book. Judging by the empty plates and glasses at the end of the night, it was clear that everyone in attendance had a wonderful time. The event was a big hit with press and received great coverage from outlets including Glamour, Examiner and Manhattan with a twist. We look forward to more great coverage as several other events are being planned at Tommy Bahama Restaurants

Mmm, mmm good!

Tuesday, February 25th was an intimate evening of cocktails, food and fun for select press at Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar in Scottsdale. Executive Chef Andrew Warner created a delicious five-course tasting menu that showcased the restaurant’s diversity from seafood to Jerk pork tenderloin. Judging by the empty plates after each course, it’s clear the guests enjoyed themselves — or maybe it was the fact that each course was accompanied by a corresponding wine or cocktail that put everyone in good spirits – literally.  The meal was capped off with a trio of mini desserts that included a Butterscotch Cup with chocolate ganache, a Pina Colada Napoleon and a Pineapple Crème Brulee.

Modern Luxury Scottsdale raved over the signature cocktails; Arizona Foothills tweeted and/or Instagramed nearly every course; and Valley Guide suggested they add the trio of desserts to the regular menu. Eater AZ, Phoenix Home & Garden, SheKnows.com and local personality Kinsey Schofield were among the other guests whom all mingled nicely and ended up closing the restaurant.  The only remaining question at the end of the night was, “when can we do this again?”
