From February 19th through March 18th, Sanrio partnered with local food spots in Seattle on a supercute culinary scavenger hunt, Hello Kitty Hungry Hunt Seattle! Hello Kitty fans and foodies ran throughout the city to collect the limited edition Hello Kitty Hungry Hunt pins when purchasing yummy Hello Kitty themed menu items.

Not only did fans love this super cute culinary scavenger hunt, so did local Seattle media.  Major outlets such as Seattle Magazine, the Examiner, and Red Tricycle as well as local bloggers like FreshJess and An Emerald City Life raved about the Hello Kitty themed bites and drinks, including Hello Kitty cupcake and a delicious pink boba tea inspired by Hello Kitty.

Seattle Magazine and the Examiner expressed their excitement for the scavenger hunt and gave readers a breakdown of the delicious treats and the participating restaurants. Breaking News! The story of a true viral campaign

“Hello Kitty is not a cat.” This six word phrase went viral after Carolina A. Miranda, a blogger for the Los Angeles Times posted a story on latimes.com  about Hello Kitty’s upcoming 40th Anniversary and all the happenings surrounding the celebration coming this fall. It seems as if EVERY news and entertainment outlet picked up the story: Fast Company, The Huffington Post, Time, Buzz Feed, Vanity Fair, E! … and the list goes on. It was also a trending topic on Twitter.

All of the chatter in this conversation has been truly unbelievable and a publicist’s dream come true. And although we’ve been extremely strategic in planning the roll out of information, targeting the right press outlets and pitching key journalists like Carolina A Miranda; we didn’t plan it to go viral. And that’s the thing with true viral campaign – they aren’t planned. It’s the public that makes something viral, not the publicists, brand strategists or advertising executives.

So, as the agency of record, we confirm Hello Kitty is not a cat, she is a girl. And true devotees also know that Hello Kitty has no mouth because she speaks from the heart.

Sanrio, a client that keeps us busy with their ever-growing lineup of news-worthy collabs and launches, has partnered with the renowned jewelry designer Chan Luu, who is recognized for her popular handmade jewelry, for an exclusive collection of original jewelry styles adorned with the pop icon. As soon as we got our hands on details and images of the supercute collection, we wrote a press release, developed a curated media list of top business & trade publications, as well as national fashion magazines, and pitched away.

We’re not the only fans of this unique collection, which features Chan Luu’s signature wrap bracelets, cuffs and layering necklaces with select pieces accented by Swarovski crystals, fine lace, semi-precious stones and sterling silver Hello Kitty charms. The editors from California Apparel News, Accessories Magazine, and License! Global were also eager to share the news with their readers.

The collection hits retail in August this year – so the editorial coverage is just getting started.

For the past five years, Tommy Bahama has partnered with Major League Baseball (MLB) creating special “Collector’s Edition” shirts that celebrate the sport and legends. For 2014, Tommy Bahama and MLB properties celebrate one of the greatest baseball players of all times, with the Jackie Robinson “Collector’s Edition” shirt released on April 1, in time for Jackie Robinson Day on April 15. Only a limited number of shirts have been produced and each one is numbered. This special shirt is part of the Tommy Bahama MLB collection that includes other shirts, polos, and tee shirts available exclusively through Tommy Bahama.

Meanwhile, Sanrio expands its MLB-themed Hello Kitty products building on the partnership with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, Los Angeles Dodgers, and San Diego Padres introduced last year. Now, all 30 MLB teams will have a variety of MLB Hello Kitty souvenirs and accessories such as team baseball pins, key chains, magnets, cell phone covers, bags, etc. Merchandise is available at in-stadium stores, select mass retailers, sporting good and specialty stores, and MLB.com. Select items will also be available later this Spring at Sanrio.com and select Sanrio Boutique Stores.

Revelers of America’s favorite pastime can now go out in full force and support their favorite team… and their favorite brand.

Sanrio and Moxi teamed up to create a pair of retro style skates and Orsi Public Relations shared this news with some key media influencers who tweeted and blogged about it.

Most recently  Sanrio, partnered with T.U.K. Footwear, to create a co-branded collection of women’s creeper shoes. Sanrio Announces Partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products The Simpsons

Hello Kitty x The SimpsonsWhether it’s a design collaboration, co-branded partnership or licensing deal, Sanrio keeps Orsi Public Relations very busy announcing the latest developments. Between writing and editing the press release, creating the proper distribution list and disseminating the information in a timely and efficient manner, and tracking coverage – it’s a never ending cycle of information and materials for some very original product.

The latest Sanrio partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products comes together for a first-of-its-kind design collaboration featuring Hello Kitty and THE SIMPSONS. The two iconic pop culture brands will  introduce a product line in 2014 in celebration of two milestone anniversaries: the 40th Anniversary of Hello Kitty and 25th Anniversary of THE SIMPSONS. Although products will not be available to the consumer until back-to-school 2014, Orsi Public Relations has announced to trade and business press and will start its consumer press outreach in April.  It’s a long process with a great deal of PR opportunities and we know this is just the beginning.
